Some of the duties of a conveyancer
include, advising clients on the buying and selling process,
researching the property being bought, conducting 'searches' through
local authorities on any plans that may affect the property in the
future, drafting contracts for the sale of the property, liaising
with mortgage lenders, estate agents and solicitors, paying tax i.e.
stamp duty, preparing leases and transfer of documents, keeping
records of payments and checking all contracts are signed and
exchanged at the right time.
